Maapu was a little school girl who was shy and reserved. But she enjoyed playing football at school and with her neighbouring young boys.

Her friends and classmates ridiculed Maapu for her interest in sports, as in their city no girls played football. ‘Why can’t girls play football ?’, she would ask for which nobody has an answer. Even with no encouragement, she is determined to pursue her passion and become a football player.

Every day, after school Maapu would finish her homework and go out to play football with neighbouring boys. Her mother understands the love Maapu has for sports and supports her in every way, ‘Dear, you lead your passion to what your heart says not what others say’, is what her mother would say when Maapu would get discouraged.

When the interschool competitions were announced at school, Maapu was excited and decided to participate. She attended the selection trials and her classmates mocked her once again.

But they were extremely shocked when Maapu showed her talent and performed really very well at playing football. The judges selected her to represent her school.

Maapu’s commited and hard work did took her to a higher level. Every person who mocked her were shocked and surprised with her success.
